An Original Story By Me (Part 18)

Image
It has been months since we had that talk about Mamiko, and our third year in High School has started. As if it has been plotted in that discussion, Aiko's cousin actually did die from being hit by a train . Surveillance footage has shown that she was attacked by two unknown men who did something to her, then made her dizzy before throwing her onto the tracks. The cousin was seen wandering around the tracks before walking towards an oncoming train that killed her. It seems like suicide, but autopsy reports shows that her eyes were missing. It's almost as if she was never born with eyes. Nobody knows how that happened, but it does explain why she was running around aimlessly before running towards the train: she couldn't see. In the footage and according to witnesses, she knew that a train was approaching and panicked, but being dizzy and blind meant that she couldn't tell which direction she was facing. Although Aiko foresaw her cousin's death, she didn't th...

An Original Story By Me (Part 17)

Kyousuke told me that someone in Mihara uniform that looked like one of the Hisakawa twins was spotted at Katsura High School. That school is a typical normal school located at the bottom of the hill where the main entrance of Mihara Academy is located, and there's a train station located right in between these two. I don't know why Mamiko would go there, but I'm guessing that Katsura High is quite likely to be the school Mamiko attended before she came into this dimension. However, since that day, she seemed to have her mind focused on a particular someone who studies there. Mamiko had the look as if she knows something bad would happen to that other girl. Aiko: "Well, I can't blame her for being that way after finding out Kotomi would die in a collision with a train in the winter of next year, no matter what Mamiko does to prevent it." What did my classmate say to me? I don't even know who the person she is talking about either. Me: "Wait....

Losing Identity (Part 16)

The reunion of the Hisakawa twins was short-lived as their minds were swapped around again. Even they themselves were confused on who they were as both could remember events that either one had done before it happened. I don't know who's who, but seeing that both twins could communicate and are able to move, I'm guessing that the disabilities that Mamiko had has been cured now. Saeko: "We could control each other and know what the other is thinking now but..." Mamiko: "...why are we both still in separate bodies?! It's mentally exhausting and..." Saeko: "...confusing for me to control two different bodies at the same time! Am I Saeko or Mamiko? I have memories of both sides since I was cloned, but my body is missing the irremovable swimsuit, so that means I'm definitely Saeko. Am I?" Me: "Wow, that is confusing. Well, since you two have memories of each other and know which body you are in now, why not let the part of y...

Nobody knows how exactly the doll was made or how old it is. It may be an ancient artifact, but it looks quite new to be so and is surprisingly durable despite how fragile it looks. One thing's for sure though, there have been rumours where a lot of people have come across it and some time after finding it, they would want to get rid of it, or would disappear when their attention on it is at the lowest since coming across it, or had something bad happening to them. All had possession with the doll or was with someone that had the doll. The latter knowing anything of the doll is not necessary. Due to it's time-traveling and age-proofing properties, organizations researching on the doll and coming up with theories that may involve the doll are having a hard time tracing its origins and what the doll in a particular time had or had not already went through as compared to that of another time. For example, it's made in Time C, but may travel to Time K and then to Time J, the...

Losing Identity (Part 15)

Morning had arrived. I found myself on the bed of a room that is not mine, but then I remembered that I was visiting my dad's university friend regarding his son's passing away. I was shocked to learn that his son had entered me and that it's also possible that I could be him before the merger and now think and behave very much like me, Haruna, right now. It's hard to tell, because I have mixed memories and knowledge of both. It kind of conflicts if I want know what I was doing prior to the merger, on top of the knowledge that my memory of another childhood friend with me (Saeko/Itsuki) was modified when he turned into a girl. I don't know what to believe now: I don't even trust my own memory... After taking a bath, I headed to the dining table for breakfast where everyone is. I don't know what he prepared, but it's certainly better than what I can prepare myself with. Saeko seems to be in a hurry with something. Everyone else seem to noticed this too....

Since we boarded our flight at night, most of us just slept thought the entire flight since take-off. Well, we did spend a lot of time travelling to the airport with some breaks along the way, so this flight is long enough to sleep. Announcement: "...are now arriving into the country shortly. Outdoor temperature is 85℉ or 29℃ with humidity of 93%. Please stow away or secure loose objects and fasten your seat belts when the indicator turns on for lading. Thank you for travelling with us and hope you would have a nice day. During the landing, the plane declined downwards and felt a thud from below, followed by rumbling as the plane touched the ground and reduces it's speed to a halt before the plane is towed towards the terminal so we could just enter the terminal via a bridge from the plane exit. After clearing customs and collected our luggage, I exchanged my country's currency for that country's currency. Amount I received seems to be more than what I thought ...

When the day came, I did some final checks, lock up all the possible entry points, and made my way to the specified meeting point. Just to be safe, after taking more-than-sufficient amount of money for the whole trip, I had deposited all the money that was lying under my parents' bed into my bank account which I can withdraw overseas from. Of course, since it's a huge amount and could possibly withdraw overseas, I had to head to the bank the day before. This luggage bag is big and heavy, good thing it has wheels. The meeting point was around the newsstand of the busiest station. The reason why I chose this place was that it's not so crowded and that the only train line that stops at stations outside the city that is transferable to several other lines in the direction of the international airport. Besides, I checked where my classmates are staying and that they would have to pass through this station anyway. It seems that I am early and that there is no one else here. G...

The summer vacation is just around the corner. I want to visit the parents of my overseas childhood friend, but I don't want to go there alone, and my parents are still away. Students who did the recent test badly are required to take remedial lessons, which would eat up the holiday period, partly because that there would be no lessons for quite a while after the holidays due to preparations of the upcoming cultural festival. Fortunately, nobody in my class failed, which is considered quite rare. Me: Hey, everyone! Who wants to go to that country with me for the holidays? I will be paying for all the expenses! I am heading there to visit the parents of my childhood friend who lived there but passed away back in May. You guys need not follow me around when there and you would be staying in a hotel in the downtown district there. Seems that only a few people responded. Yukari: That Country ? oh, おk(^O^) I don't have any plans anyway. Nagisa & Saeko: Me too! Ky...

Inside the elevator, an old man wearing a lab coat (do all the staff here wear that?) appear to recognize me, except that I don't recognize that face. Professor: Oh, Kobayashi-san! I haven't seen you since you were discharged last month. May I know who the bloody hell are you? Of course, not wanting to be rude, I instead said: Me: I'm sorry, I don't remember. We got out of the elevator at some random level that don't seem to be the ground floor. Professor: Well, I was the one who was present when you woke up in a coma back in February. When you arrived here back then your body was so stiff that we have difficulty straightening your body. Well, here's a photo that was taken on one of the first few days you were admitted here. I was shocked, but felt like laughing out at the same time: He showed a picture of me wearing the school uniform sitting in a chair in the hospital ward in front of the empty bed. It appeared as though I was wishing for someone...
